Service areas
Where we work
One shop, one fleet, and a region that runs from Niagara to Barrie and east to Oshawa. Everything we install and repair is dispatched from 1645 Bonhill Road in Mississauga — deliberately central to the GTA rather than at one end of it — and the emergency line is answered 24 hours a day on 800-522-6825.

Unit 14, 1645 Bonhill Road, Mississauga. Every city on this page is a drive time from this door — which is why the arrival window we give you on the phone is a real number rather than a marketing one.
Coverage pages usually claim more than they can deliver. This one is built the other way round: every city in the directory below has real pages behind it, the drive times are measured from a real address, and the towns we serve without a page of their own are named as exactly that rather than dressed up as branches.
How dispatch actually works
Everything runs from unit 14, 1645 Bonhill Road in Mississauga — the shop, the door and glass stock, the parts inventory and the service fleet. Trucks load there in the morning and are dispatched through the day, which is what lets us give you an arrival window based on where a technician is rather than a published promise that has to cover both Etobicoke and Niagara.
An emergency call is rarely answered by a truck setting off from the shop. Through the working day we have a dozen trucks out across the GTA and Southern Ontario, so the technician who reaches you is usually the one already closest — and after hours it is one of our dedicated on-call technicians, who comes to you from home. That is why the arrival window is worked out call by call.
Three things follow from that, and they are the honest version of what a service area means:
- The core GTA is a short run. Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Toronto, Oakville, Vaughan and Markham are all inside about forty minutes of the shop outside rush hour, which is why same-day is normal there.
- The belt is a real drive. Barrie, Kitchener, Niagara and Oshawa are an hour and a half or more from Bonhill Road — though if a technician is already working out that way, it can be half an hour. Planned work travels fine; an overnight emergency is a conversation, not a dispatch.
- The parts decide as much as the distance. Most faults are fixed on the first visit because the part is on the truck. Anything made to size — glass, a door leaf, a section, a garage door spring — is two visits wherever you are.
Cities with their own pages
Each city below has a page per service, with the local work we have documented there, that city's drive time from our shop, and the questions people in that city actually ask. The drive times are estimates from Bonhill Road until our dispatch logs confirm them — we would rather show you a soft number than a confident one we cannot stand behind.

A city that is not listed here is not a city we do not serve — it is a city whose page is not written yet. The belt below covers most of them, and the phone covers all of them.
The Southern Ontario belt
We work across the belt as well, and these towns have no page of their own yet — the belt cities that do are in the directory above. Naming the rest here is not a coverage claim we are stretching to make: it is where our trucks genuinely go, and where the honest conversation is about distance rather than availability.
- Georgetown
- Caledon
- Midland
- Bowmanville
Distance changes what is sensible, not what is possible. A planned installation, a maintenance visit or a measure travels anywhere on this list without difficulty. A 3am emergency call to Midland or Niagara is a two-hour drive each way, and we will tell you that on the phone — along with what you can do to make the opening safe until we arrive — rather than leave you waiting up for a truck. The pages for the far cities say the same thing on themselves.
Four decades of doors for names Ontario knows — Canada’s Wonderland, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, the LCBO, Metrolinx, Marriott & Hilton hotels, the University of Toronto — plus thousands of businesses, warehouses, schools and homes across the GTA. Dependable people, quality products, since 1979.
Common questions about our coverage
What area does Canuck Door Systems cover?
Toronto and the whole GTA as the core of it, and the Southern Ontario belt around that — Hamilton and Niagara to the south-west, Kitchener–Waterloo and Guelph to the west, Barrie, Orillia and Midland to the north, and east through Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa. Everything is dispatched from one shop in Mississauga rather than from franchised territories, so there is no boundary where you get handed to somebody else.
Do you charge for travel?
We usually charge a minimum of one hour of travel on anything up to about 50 km — practically speaking, out to Hamilton in the west, Whitby in the east and Newmarket to the north — because a call-out is mostly travel, and we quote that figure on the phone before a truck leaves, wherever you are. To remote locations such as Barrie or Niagara Falls we charge two hours of travel time. If you are our neighbour across the street, we might drop it to half an hour. On installation and project work travel is inside the quote rather than a line item. What we will not do is take a call from the far edge of the belt at 2am without telling you honestly how long the drive is.
How fast can you get to us?
It depends where you are, and we give you a real arrival window on the call based on where a technician actually is at that moment. Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton and west Toronto are the shortest runs; Oshawa, Barrie, Kitchener and Niagara are an hour and a half or more before traffic. We do not publish a single response-time promise, because one number cannot be true for both ends of that list.
Why one shop instead of branches around the region?
Because door work is a stock-and-parts business as much as a labour one. One shop means one inventory: the cables, rollers, closers, hardware and operator parts that fix most faults on the first visit are all in the same building, and the trucks load from it every morning. Splitting that across branches means either duplicating the stock or discovering the part is at the other one.
Do you cover both commercial and residential across the whole area?
Yes, though the balance differs by distance. Commercial and industrial work — overhead doors, storefronts, fire-rated assemblies, dock equipment — is the bulk of what we do and travels across the whole region. Residential garage door work travels well too, because the parts are on the truck and the job is an hour or two. The one thing distance really changes is after-hours emergency response.
My city has a page. Does that mean you work there more?
It means we have enough documented local work, local demand and local detail to write something true about that city. We deliberately have not built a page for every town on this list: a page that is the same as another page with the city name swapped is worth nothing to you and is exactly the pattern search engines penalise. Where we cannot say something specific and honest about a city yet, it stays on the belt list until we can.
Do you work outside Southern Ontario?
Occasionally, on project work for clients we already look after — a multi-site retailer or property manager with a building beyond the belt, for instance. We have done projects in Ottawa, Cobourg, Kingston and Sudbury on that basis. What we cannot sensibly offer outside the region is service response, because that is a drive time, not a policy. Ask, and we will tell you straight whether it makes sense.
Not sure whether you're in the area?
Call 800-522-6825 with the address. We will tell you the drive time, the attendance cost, and whether the job is better booked as a daytime visit — all before a truck moves.
