Door systems across Niagara Falls
We work throughout Niagara Falls — Stanley Avenue Business Park, Montrose Industrial Business Park, Drummond Industrial Area, Lundy's Lane Commercial Corridor and the blocks around them. The buildings here are mostly accommodation and food services, wholesale and retail trade and advanced and light manufacturing, and each puts different demands on a door: traffic volume, insurance and fire requirements, and how much downtime an opening can afford. Niagara Falls’s 94,415 residents keep those buildings busy.

Broken doors in Niagara Falls: we dispatch 24/7.
Niagara Falls is roughly a 90-minute run from our Mississauga shop — less if a technician is already in the area. Planned work, measures and maintenance travel there without difficulty; on a middle-of-the-night emergency we will tell you the drive time on the phone, and what to do to make the opening safe until we arrive.
Emergency board-up, security and make-safe first — permanent repair scheduled after.
Common questions about doors
How long does a universal washroom package take?
Typically 4–6 weeks to supply the package once the specification is approved, then 1–2 weeks to schedule and install it — around 5–8 weeks in total, depending on the size of the project. The critical path is almost never the door: it is the electrical rough-in. On new construction, get the wiring for the operator, lock, indicator and call station into the drawings before the walls close and the installation itself becomes a day.
Can you repair a traffic door rather than replace it?
Usually, and it is normally the better value. Hinges and spring cassettes are the most common failure and are replaceable in place. Vision panels, gaskets, sweep strips and edge protection all renew individually. What is not worth repairing is a panel that has delaminated or cracked right through, or a frame that has been struck out of square — a door hung in a twisted frame will keep failing whatever you fit to it.
Can you replace just the glass panel in a door?
Yes — on a framed door the glass is replaced in the existing leaf and frame, which is much less expensive than a new door. Two things to know. Commercial door glass is tempered, and tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled or edged after it is made, so the replacement is ordered to your exact size rather than cut on site. That means a lead time, which is why we board up first and glaze when the unit lands. And if the frame itself is bent or the leaf is out of square, glass alone will not fix it.
What is the strongest glass for a commercial opening?
For resisting a person trying to get in, laminated glass — two lites bonded to a plastic interlayer that holds the fragments and the opening together even after the glass breaks. Tempered is about four times stronger than ordinary annealed glass of the same thickness and breaks safely, but it still leaves the frame empty, so it is a safety product rather than a security one. Where break-ins are the recurring problem, the honest answer is often laminated glass plus a shutter or grille rather than thicker glass alone.
How long does it take to get wood fire-rated doors?
If the labelled door is a standard size, it takes 1–2 weeks to prepare the hardware and install it. If the door is a custom size or needs specific hardware, it can take 8–12 weeks to produce it and source the hardware. Then 1–2 weeks to schedule the job and install them, depending on the size of the project. Factory-finished and matched-veneer doors sit at the longer end, because the finishing is part of the fabrication rather than something done on site. On site, a single labelled opening is usually a day; a building's worth of suite doors is phased over several weeks.
How long does it take to get steel door frames?
Typically 4–6 weeks to produce frames once the shop drawings are approved, then 1–2 weeks to schedule the job and install them, depending on the size of the project. Stock knock-down frames in common sizes can be far quicker; welded, galvannealed, rated and custom-profile frames are what set the schedule. Frame repairs, by contrast, are usually a single visit. Setting a frame and hanging its door is usually a day per opening; on a new build the frames go in with the walls, over several weeks.
Four decades of doors for names Ontario knows — Canada’s Wonderland, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, the LCBO, Metrolinx, Marriott & Hilton hotels, the University of Toronto — plus thousands of businesses across the GTA. Dependable people, quality products, since 1979.
