Door systems across Orangeville
We work throughout Orangeville — Orangeville Industrial Park, Centennial Road Corridor, Broadway Corridor and First Street Corridor. The buildings here are mostly advanced manufacturing, retail and commercial trade and health care and social assistance, and each puts different demands on a door: traffic volume, insurance and fire requirements, and how much downtime an opening can afford. Orangeville’s 30,167 residents keep those buildings busy.
We have completed 38 door jobs in Orangeville since 2020 — automatic doors, commercial doors, commercial glass and aluminum doors and hollow metal and steel doors — including work on Mill Street and Centennial Road.

Broken doors in Orangeville: we dispatch 24/7.
Orangeville is roughly a 60-minute run from our Mississauga shop — less if a technician is already in the area — so a truck is usually on site the same day.
Emergency board-up, security and make-safe first — permanent repair scheduled after.
Common questions about doors
How much clear width does a sliding entrance give?
Less than the opening, always. The framing, the parked leaves and the guide rails all take space, so the clear width is a specified number rather than the width of the hole in the wall. It matters because the barrier-free requirement in the Ontario Building Code is written against clear width, not overall size, so an entrance can look generous and still fail. We work backwards from the clear width you need to the configuration and rough opening that produce it.
How can you tell if a door is impact rated?
Be careful with this phrase, because it means two different things. In the door industry an "impact door" is a double-acting door designed for vehicle traffic, and there is no single rating stamp for it — you specify panel material, thickness and hardware. In hurricane-region building codes "impact rated" is a formal wind-borne-debris certification, which is not relevant to Ontario commercial interiors and is not what these doors are. If a specification asks for an impact rating, it is worth confirming which of the two it means before anyone prices it.
Do you repair aluminum doors, or only install new ones?
Both. Alongside new supply and installation we repair aluminum entrances — closers, pivots, hinges, thresholds, weatherstrip and broken glass — and we run 24/7 emergency service for a door that won’t lock or close. We can make the opening safe first and schedule the permanent fix after.
What is a hollow metal door frame?
A door frame formed from sheet steel, usually 16 or 14 gauge, with the hinge reinforcements, strike and closer preparation welded inside it before it leaves the plant. It arrives either as a welded unit or as a knock-down frame in three pieces that assemble in the opening. In commercial work it is the standard frame for steel and wood doors alike — a wood door in a commercial corridor almost always hangs in a hollow metal frame.
Do you do residential emergency glass?
Yes. Our emergency work covers commercial, industrial and residential — storefronts, offices, plants, schools, clinics, warehouses, multi-residential common areas and houses. Most of what we do out of hours is commercial, and the crews and framing systems are built around commercial openings, but a broken house window at 2am is still an opening that has to be made secure tonight, and we will attend it.
Is it less expensive to repair or replace a dock leveler?
Repair, in most cases — the mechanism is designed to be rebuilt, and a leveler with new springs, a new lip assembly and a serviced hydraulic pack is effectively renewed. What is not economic to repair is the structural frame or the pit: badly corroded steel or spalled concrete under the frame means the unit has reached the end of its life whatever condition the mechanism is in. We tell you which of the two you have before quoting.
Four decades of doors for names Ontario knows — Canada’s Wonderland, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, the LCBO, Metrolinx, Marriott & Hilton hotels, the University of Toronto — plus thousands of businesses across the GTA. Dependable people, quality products, since 1979.
