The Mishree Restaurant project involved the installation of aluminum storefront windows, doors, and a bi-fold system as part of the new restaurant build. As a subcontractor, Canuck Door Systems was responsible for ensuring that all installations were completed on time, as the restaurant had a set opening date. However, one of the main challenges was the longer-than-expected lead time for the bi-fold systems, which required careful planning to ensure the project was completed on time.
Strong coordination with the general contractor and other trades was essential. Regular communication ensured all the glass aluminum systems were installed promptly without impacting the overall construction schedule.
Canuck Door Systems used high-quality products from Windspec, a trusted supplier in the industry. These included the 655 Series Glass Aluminum Storefronts for the restaurant’s entrance, 925 Series Operable Windows for flexible ventilation, 535 Series Operable Windows for additional functionality, and the 1781 Series Bi-Fold System to create an open, inviting atmosphere for patrons.
Some glass pieces arrived with broken seals during the installation, causing fogging between panes. Canuck Door Systems swiftly replaced these under warranty, demonstrating our commitment to delivering a high-quality final product and minimizing disruptions to the project timeline. This swift resolution reassured our stakeholders of our reliability and dedication to the project.
Despite the initial delays in receiving the bi-fold system, Canuck Door Systems completed the project by October 2023, just in time for the restaurant’s opening. The installed glass aluminum systems gave Mishree Restaurant a sleek, modern look while ensuring functionality and energy efficiency.
The operable aluminum storefront windows allowed for flexible airflow, and the bi-fold system created a seamless indoor-outdoor dining experience, enhancing the restaurant’s ambiance. This completion demonstrates our collective commitment to the project.
