Centurion (Dundas) Holdings Limited and Legacy Constructors Inc. have partnered with Canuck Door Systems to bring a modern and high-performance entrance system to their Dundas property. The project included the supply and installation of Windspec 5500 HTP Series clear anodized aluminum curtain wall systems and Windspec 630 Series precise anodized aluminum framing as specified on the architectural drawings.
The design incorporated black anodized high thermal performance exterior and interior curtainwall entrance systems with triple pane spandrel glazing, as well as black anodized vestibule systems for an underground entrance.
Challenges & Solutions
The installation presented unique challenges due to the size and weight of the triple-pane glass units. Standard lifts could not accommodate the scope of the job, so a spider crane was brought in to carefully maneuver and install the heavy transom glass within the interior vestibule.
In addition, site openings were not prepared according to our specifications. We adapted by installing frames without full support, then returning once the openings were corrected, ensuring both safety and precision in the final result.

- HPG Triple Pane Tempered Spandrel Glazing Units – Installed within curtain wall systems.

Timeline
- December 2023: Project awarded and drawings sent for approval before the holidays.
- January 2024: Engineered drawings submitted to the client.
- April 2024: Drawings approved; measurements taken on-site; materials ordered.
May–June 2024: Installation completed despite site delays and glass installation challenges.
Results
The completed installation delivered a sleek, modern, and energy-efficient entrance system that met both the aesthetic and performance goals of the client. Despite on-site complications, our team’s adaptability ensured the project was finished on time. The client was delighted, later engaging us for additional service work.
