The exterior glass and aluminum storefront at 3434 Yonge Street in Toronto needed replacing, and Intercity Properties Limited was the client. The company came to Canuck directly, with no general contractor. We removed the old storefront and supplied and installed the new one, completing the job in February 2022.

What went in
The new storefront is Windspec 655 series framing: full-height display glass along the front, and an entrance door in the same framing. The 655 carries both the fixed glass and the doors, so the whole front reads as one system.
Working on Yonge Street
The storefront sits right on a busy Yonge Street sidewalk. The crew came in early to get a parking spot close to the storefront and to beat the peak traffic.
A storefront on a main street has no yard, no loading area and no parking of its own. The glass and frames have to come off a truck and go straight into the opening, across a sidewalk that people are using. It took patience and experience to remove the old storefront and install the new one in a busy area, but it was done to the client's satisfaction.
