Sable Metal Fabrication's plant at 430 Steelcase Road East in Markham is a long, low brick building with windows set into its walls. The old glass and aluminum windows were due for replacement, and the company came to Canuck directly, with no general contractor.
The first order was eight windows, in March 2023. The client was happy with the result and came back later the same year to have eleven more replaced on the other side of the building. That second order is the best summary of the job.

What went in
Every window is Commdoor 2500 series aluminum framing, glazed with bronze tinted insulated tempered glass. The bronze tint cuts glare and solar heat coming into the plant. Insulated units hold heat better than single glass, and tempered glass is safety glass.
The client had been given a 6–8 week lead time, and the job kept to it. Drawings, production, installation and the final quality check all ran as planned.
Working around the shop floor
People were working inside the building throughout. Every window was scheduled with the client in advance, so no one was working close to an opening while it was being replaced.
When a window is removed, the opening is exposed on the inside as well as the outside. On a working plant, that means agreeing with the client which window comes next, so staff can be kept clear of it. That was the only real constraint on the job, and planning handled it.
