Project Goals

The main objective of this project was to replace outdated glass aluminum windows with new, energy-efficient systems within the 6–8-week lead time promised to the client. The Canuck Door Systems team focused on maintaining both precision and efficiency, ensuring every window aligned seamlessly with the building’s exterior structure and met the client’s performance expectations.

Challenges and Constraints

This project was relatively straightforward, but it required careful coordination to maintain safety and minimize disruption. Since some of the replacement work occurred near active parking areas, our team worked closely with the client to relocate nearby vehicles and secure the work zone. This allowed installation to proceed safely and efficiently, without interrupting daily operations at the site.

While the manufacturer faced about 4 weeks of production delays due to a backlog, the client’s flexible schedule allowed the project to proceed smoothly, ensuring a high-quality outcome without compromise.

The project included the following key components:

• Complete removal of existing exterior windows and storefronts 
• Precision installation and alignment of all new frames and glazing

Project Timeline and Outcome

The project began in July 2023, with installation completed following the extended production schedule. Despite the manufacturer’s delay, Canuck Door Systems maintained close communication with both EFCO Corp and Mirodan Contracting, ensuring transparency and effective coordination at every stage.

Upon completion, the window caulking and sealing were redone in certain areas to achieve a flawless finish. The result was a clean, modern façade that met the client’s expectations for both quality and visual appeal.

The client was delighted with the outcome, praising the team’s attention to detail and professional execution.
