Polycarbonate Rolling Security Grilles
Canuck Door Systems installs a variety of Polycarbonate Rolling Security Grilles. Also, they provide a beautiful and practical solution for securing facilities and partitioning spaces without sacrificing aesthetics and visibility into the secured space. Furthermore, polycarbonate Rolling Grilles protect against theft and keeps out debris while allowing a full view of what’s inside. Additionally, these innovative see-through rolling security grill is an excellent solution for locations requiring security and visual appeal, like high-end stores.Get Quote
The Polycarbonate Rolling Security Grilles come with many amazing features. Firstly, the finish is clear anodized. Secondly, they come with an electric motor operator. Thirdly, they are highly resistant and surprisingly light. Additionally, they have polycarbonate panels.
The manufacturers make the curtain of 3” (76mm) on center extruded aluminum sections. Moreover, each section framed by continuous double “C” hinge holds clear polycarbonate panels 1/16” (1.6mm) thick x 2 1⁄2” (64mm) high x 15” 3⁄4 (400mm) wide separated by 2 1⁄2” (64mm) high x 0,050” (1,3mm) thick aluminum slats.
Please choose between:
- 3” (76mm) X 3” (76mm) structural tubes with 0.120 (3mm) wall thickness furnished by MobilFlex to be pre-drilled and tapped for guides and endplates. Also, tubes will attach to the floor slab and joists above. Furthermore, attachment at the top is for lateral support only.
- 2” (50mm) X 3” (76mm) steel angles for the face of wall installation. (instead of steel tubes).
- 4” (101mm) X 4” (101mm) structural tubes (for openings over 250 sqft (2.3m2)).
Furnish steel plates not less than 3/16” (4.7mm) thick (with dimensions appropriate to coil size) to support the ends of the barrel assembly with sealed, self-aligning shaft bearings. Furthermore, we will bolt the endplates to support tubes.
Minimum 6 5/8″ (168mm) diameter X 0.156 (4mm) wall steel pipe barrel is made to carry curtain load with a maximum allowable deflection of 0.03″ per foot of closure width (2.3mm per linear meter in width)—barrel to house a torsion spring counterbalance assembly to counter-balance the curtain.
Oil tempered, helical torsion spring(s) pre-lubricated and secured around a continuous, solid, cold-rolled steel inner shaft will act as a counterbalance within the barrel. Additionally, the shaft will bear on self-aligning, permanently lubricated ball-bearing assemblies. Furthermore, the counterbalance assembly made for a minimum life of 20,000 cycles. Also, the spring to be site-tensioned by an attached, accessible charging wheel.
Standard closure to have manual push up, pull down with removable retrieval rod. The effort to raise or lower the closure shall not exceed 15 pounds (7kg) force. (Optional but not recommended, hand chain hoist or hand crank with removable crank handle). Motorized operation is better used for closures with an area greater than 150 sqft (14m2).
Electric Motor Operator
The motor operator shall be industrial duty, jackshaft hoist type. In addition, the primary reduction shall be a heavy-duty belt drive with chain-and-sprocket secondary reduction. The mechanism is to be self-locking when you apply torque to the output shaft. Furthermore, the operator shall have an adjustable, torque-limiting friction clutch. The motor operator shall have a built-in interlock that will prevent damaging the grille if you operate it electrically when in the locked position.
Emergency Egress Release:
Supply a flush manually activated emergency egress device to disengage the motor in case of an emergency.
Electric Key Switch:
Control station (when applicable) shall be two positions, open/close, constant pressure type for flush mounting, housed in a tamper-proof enclosure (key switch to replace push button set).
Vertical curtain guides are to be of extruded aluminum 1 5/8″ (41mm) wide x 2 3 4″ (70mm) deep with a nylon brush seal to allow smooth operation. Top stoppers to be on each guide to stop upward movement of the curtain at a secured position.
Heavy-duty extruded aluminum section, bell-shaped to provide reinforcement. Bottom bar to house lock mechanism. Center lock mechanism to be a 2-point deadlock that activates 7/16″ (11mm) steel lock bars at each end. Standard MobilFlex cylinders are operable from both sides. Removal of bottom bar not necessary to change the cylinders. For counter closures, the bottom bar is to be of extruded aluminum 1 1 4″ (32mm) wide x 3″ (76mm) high.
The locking bottom bar will have a MobilFlex 1” (2.5mm), 5 pin mortise cylinder.
Please choose:1 cylinder (inside or outside) or
Material & finish
Standard aluminum 6063-T5 shall be a clear anodized finish or acrylic paint white or black.
Option (Please specify if you require a hood)
